broom loan depot is the home of the glasgow underground. the original shed is still in use ase the stabling and cleaning part of the depot.
In the old days before the underground was modernised the trains were lowered into the tunnels through a pit in this shed. nowadays there is a proper link line into the tunnels.

St. Peter's Seminary is a 20th-century category-A listed building north of Cardross Designed by the firm of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, it has been described as a modern "building of world significance"[1]. Nonetheless it is abandoned, and in a ruinous state. By the time it was completed in 1966, its function was already out of date. In 1980 the building closed

walked the old faslane branch today
it diverged west from the west highland line at faslane junction. the 2 and a half mile branch was built to bring supplies into faslane port during the war a lot of the construction work was done by german prisoners of war.
the line was unusual in that right hand running was used to get the war department staff familer with this type of operation before they went to europe

Brush barclay today handed over the first 5 coaches of HST set EC64 to first great western after overhaul. this has involved replacing the entire interior. and repainting the outside in the latest fgw livery.

MC metals in springburn was very busy in the early 1990s scrapping trains from all over britain fortunitly I knew someone that worked there and I was able to go and take photos most weekends.
